Our Latest Company Initiative to Improve Workplace Wellbeing and Mental Health

In an effort to prioritise the mental well-being of our employees, Flare have implemented it’s latest initiative, "Flare Cares," a comprehensive mental health campaign designed to breakdown the stigma behind mental health and encourage our employees to ‘Speak Up!’. Recognising the unique challenges faced by individuals working in the oil and gas industry, particularly in a male-dominated environment, we aim to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and provide a supportive and open culture for our employees.

One of the core elements of the campaign is the introduction of "Walk and Talk sessions." We actively encourage our employees to step away from their desks and engage in short walks while having conversations about any concerns they may be facing. By combining physical exercise with open dialogue, these sessions not only improve mood and mental clarity but also create a comfortable space for individuals to express their thoughts and seek support within the team. So far, these sessions have been very successful, allowing employees to discuss concerns that they would otherwise be hesitant to share.

Additionally, Flare is actively utilising company newsletters as a platform to provide practical advice on enhancing overall well-being and maintaining good mental health. These newsletters serve as a valuable resource for employees, offering guidance and strategies to navigate personal challenges and promote self-care.

Beyond internal initiatives, Flare is dedicated to fulfilling its sustainability goals as part of the Flare Cares scheme. The company is actively involved in litter picking efforts and is exploring additional avenues to reduce its carbon footprint. As part of these efforts, Flare is preparing to distribute sustainable water bottles to its team members, aiming to minimise plastic waste and promote environmental consciousness.

Moreover, Flare is committed to community engagement and support. Furthermore, Flare is actively funding local charities, extending its commitment to making a positive impact beyond its business operations. In the near future, Flare are hoping to organise group walks and raise funds for mental health charities.

The launch of the "Flare Cares" mental health campaign demonstrates the company's unwavering dedication to the well-being of its employees. By encouraging open conversations, providing mental health resources, and actively contributing to sustainability and community initiatives, Flare is striving to create a work environment that fosters overall happiness, resilience, and a sense of unity, setting an inspiring example for the industry as a whole.
